Vargas Plateau Regional Park

Vargas Plateau Regional Park
2536 Morrison Canyon Rd, Fremont, CA 94539
Free parking

There’s a one lane road to get to Vargas Plateau Regional Park so  I highly recommend bringing a smaller vehicle.  This is one of the newest regional parks and the trails are nicely marked.   Due to a mother cow guarding one of the trails, I have to visit again to hike the Upper Ranch Trail.  On this trip, I took the Golden Eagle Trail to Deer Gulch Trail and stopped to take in the panoramic view of Fremont.

Parking lot next to the barn
Smooth walking on Deer Gulch Trail
Cattle roaming free in this area
View of Fremont, I spy Lake Elizabeth
Cliff Trail
